Are you an experienced creative professional that has a knack for building iconic brands and industry-leading creative teams? UPLIFT Desk, an eCommerce leader in standing desks, ergonomic accessories, and office furnishings based in Austin, TX, is looking for a seasoned Creative Services Leader to join our team. In this role, you will work across the Uplift Desk organization, including:
- Working with our leadership team to understand the intricacies and DNA of the UPLIFT Desk Brand,
- Collaborating with channel managers (ie. Website, Demand Creation, Product, Sales, etc.) to understand and amplify departmental priorities and projects, and
- Leading our Creative Services Department in the effective delivery of marketing initiatives that are on budget, on brand, and on time.
This role will include management of the Creative Services Department overseeing all creative aspects, including graphic design, 3D graphics, copywriting, video, and photography, while managing a small team of skilled professionals (internal and external) in our fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Your goal will be to deliver industry-leading and engaging creative assets to fulfill the needs of multiple departments, including marketing, sales, and product.
Success in this role will require an optimal balance of 1) creativity (delivering on-brand), 2) project management / leadership (managing a portfolio of projects that need to be delivered on budget and on time), and 3) business acumen (an exceptional ability to prioritize projects that will have the highest business impact). This role requires the ability to be a good cultivator of the internal department combined with an existing portfolio of external connections and resources that can be efficiently leveraged – when necessary – to amplify our creative capabilities and deliver on our creative needs. The optimal leader should bring a strong strategic vision and innovative approach to elevate our brand to new heights.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in directing, mentoring, and building trust with creative teams, with 7+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong background in creative disciplines such as animation, video production, 3D rendering, and photo editing, with a robust portfolio showcasing a wide range of design styles and successful campaigns.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal leadership and manage their expectations effectively.
- Proficiency in creative software and tools, including GSuite and Adobe Creative Cloud, along with a solid understanding of current creative media, animation production, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience working on a creative marketing team
- 7+ years of experience managing a top performing, creative team
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design or related field
- Experience working in Google Suite in a professional environment is a plus
What You’ll Do
- Work with CEO and Leadership team to understand the Uplift Desk Brand
- Lead, oversee and cultivate the creative team, including on-boarding, training, professional development and mentoring
- Maintain brand style guide, brand vision and design standards to ensure all projects consistently adhere to the UPLIFT Desk brand standards, culture and processes
- Lead team members on simultaneous projects from concept to completion
- Inspire team members to achieve team and project goals efficiently and effectively
- Be an UPLIFT Desk brand ambassador to internal and external clients
- Manage external contractors and agencies to expand creative capacity
- Maintain functional, organized folder structure for ease of sharing assets for web pages, product listings, videos, and more
- Coordinate, attend, and provide direction at photoshoots when needed
- Motivate, develop and challenge the creative brand and graphic designers team to allow them to use their talents effectively to their fullest capacity/ability.
- Manage work timelines effectively across multiple projects
- Serve as a creative team resource and complete graphic design projects as needed
- Drive improvement, efficiency and effectiveness in all methodologies and deliverables
- Work with the executive team to set team priorities and deliverable deadlines
- Collaborate on product visuals with the New Product Development department
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
